The Musical Instrument Museum

I designed the fundamental aesthetic for the museum’s 80,000 square feet of exhibition spaces and interior environments while serving as Design Manager for the Musical Instrument Museum before it opened. I created the visual language that would direct the visitor experience in galleries, interpretive displays, and public spaces while working at an institutional scale.

To create clarity, continuity, and emotional resonance throughout the museum, the role involved translating curatorial vision into a unified spatial and graphic identity. This involved shaping typography, materials, environmental graphics, and exhibit presentation systems. I worked across departments from early concept development to execution planning to make sure that design promoted engagement, wayfinding, and storytelling.
